Choosing The Right Acne Product To Move On With Your Life

November 4th, 2010 5 comments

When talking about products, “to buy or not to buy” is not the right question to ask. Rather, it should be “which to buy”.

For everyone who’s troubled by acne problems, buying an acne product is necessary if they wish to on with their lives.

Aren’t you tired of staying too many Saturday nights at home simply because you’re afraid to show up your face in public?

It’s time to be proactive! It’s time to stop waiting for acne to leave at its own behest. It’s time…to buy the right acne product!

Tips on the Right Acne Product

There are lots of acne products that are out in the market right now, but how can you know which is the right acne product for you, especially if you can’t afford to consult with a dermatologist?

Cause – One primary clue to help you out in your dilemma is by knowing the cause of your acne problems. In most cases, the cause for acne breakouts is already staring back at you. Some of the most common causes for acne are stress, menstruation, laziness when it comes to cleaning (as a lot of males happen to be guilty of) and an unhealthy lifestyle. Some of the lesser-known causes for acne breakouts, on the other hand, are hormonal imbalances and certain medications.

Skin Type – A certain acne product may, for instance, be more effective on dry skin compared to individuals with oily skin. Different skin types lead to various results from acne products so do make sure that you read the instruction first before using any acne product.

Pregnancy – If you are pregnant, it’s possible that certain acne products will become ineffective or harmful to your health. In this instance, it’s for your own good to shell out extra money for a consultation with a dermatologist to ensure your safety.

Herbal Medicine – Be very careful when choosing a herbal acne product to get rid of pimples. Although herbal medicine has been in use for hundreds of years already, there are still many herbal acne products in the market that do not possess the seal of approval coming from the FDA. Products that haven’t been tested and approved by the FDA may have harmful medical complications when used.

Antibiotics – Be careful when using antibiotics for acne problems. Although certain antibiotics are provided off the counter (OTC), using them frequently and beyond the advised dosage may cause you to experience skin irritation.

One for Each or All for One – There are some acne products that are primarily designed to provide singular benefits while there are other acne products that serve multiple purposes. If you’re worried about stretching your budget because of the facial products you have to purchase, buying an all-in-one acne product may prove to be the best cost-effective solution for you in the long run.

Before buying any acne product, always support your decision with a large amount of research. Lots of information most acne products can be easily found online. Also, don’t hesitate to take advantage of website columns allowing people to ask for free professional advice.

This DIY method in finding the right acne product is only applicable to use for people with mild acne. If you have a chronic problem with acne, it might be better for you in the long run to schedule a one-time consultation with a dermatologist.

Be Acne Free For Life: Know the Different Myths Regarding Acne

October 27th, 2010 3 comments

The different have been misleading a lot of people for several generations already. Most of the time, these come from hearsays from family, friends, and other people surrounding you. Starting your journey towards being acne should involve knowing these in order to avoid putting them into practice. This newly found knowledge will increase your chances of treating your acne using proper skin care methods instead of relying on hearsays that are not medically proven.

Having acne means you’re dirty and don’t wash frequently. This is the first myth and it is entirely untrue. Blackheads and whiteheads, which are symptoms of acne, are thought to be dirt present on the pores but they’re not. Blackheads get their color from oxidation of the excess skin pigment when your pores are open. Whiteheads are typically the same as blackheads however the pores were not open during the presence of excess skin pigment on your pores thus eliminating the oxidation process.

The second myth about acne entails that washing your face a lot will help get rid of acne. This is another false belief because acne is not caused by poor hygiene. There are a lot of television commercials promoting that some impurities block your pores thus leading to blackheads, whiteheads, and even pimples. This is not true. Washing your face too much will actually irritate your skin and clog up your pores in the process.

Another unbelievable myth indicates that acne is contagious. This is entirely false because there’s no way you can catch acne from someone you have interacted with. In the old days, people believe that having sex and masturbation will cause acne. In reality, they only made up this myth to discourage young people in participating in these activities.

Unproven acne myths include linking diet to the direct cause of acne. The truth is diet does not directly interconnect with acne however diet filled with so many fatty and oily foods can cause your oil glands to produce excessive oils. An oily skin is more prone to developing acne problems. Diet may not have direct cause to acne development but it is still a good idea to keep a balance diet not only for your skin but also for the other systems in your body.

A lot of people think that you can achieve an acne free skin by tanning. Tanning your skin will just mask your acne because a darkened skin makes acne less noticeable but this does not mean you are acne free. Other people even thought that wearing make-up can cause acne. Make-up can only cause acne if you do not take it off properly at the end of the day. If you have sensitive skin, you should think about non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic make-up products for your skin.

Another acne myth implicates that popping your zits or pimples will help them heal faster. This myth causes the opposite of what is intended. What happens is that the germs and bacteria will go further deep in the skin when the pimples’ are squeezed. Because of this, instead of being acne free, you’ll be experiencing more outbreaks of pimples.

Start Your Acne Free Life Today

September 29th, 2010 28 comments

For most people, is something they exoerienced in their adolescence while a lot of people can only dream of living as it continues to afflict them into adulthood and above. The simple fact here is that living Acne is about adopting a lifestyle that creates by default good conditions for your skin and therefore prevents the development of Acne.

The two biggest culprits as far as Acne is concerned are Dirt and Oil.They clog the pores causing the body to react. This reaction can be seen as white heads, black heads and cysts. To therefore be free from Acne, a person needs to make sure their skin is free of Dirt
and Oil. It becomes a task to be taken seriously.

How easy is this task since a healthy body naturally produces Oil to remain healthy? Well the thing is that we are concerned about the excess Oil. That is what causes the problem. The dirt issue is a simpler matter. It is external and can be gotten rid of with relative ease unlike oil which is generated from within. Having these fact etched in our minds, our quest to be acne free becomes feasible.

Like most things that work, the first thing is a skin care routine. It is absolutely necessary to
have them and implement them daily because the result you seek doesn’t come overnight. This routineshould include, exfoliating, toning, mostorizing and Cleansing.

You may need to do spot treatment for dry skin, oily skin and when you have a breakout to complement the routine so you need to have  spot treatment plans.

Dry skin encourages the skin to produce more oil and therefore can easily lead to acne.
Therefore dry skin needs to be moisturized with non-oil based moisturizer.

When excess oil is produced we say one has Oily skin and this like we should now,is
the breeding ground for acne. The correct products used in your daily skin care routine can
really help to cut down on excess oil production.

Acne can be treated with topical creams. Do I need to remind you to follow the directions on
the package closely? Please do. Many of these OTC treatments contain ingredients that dry out the skin and can cause more trouble than good should you experience drying.

We have a ll taken note of all the recommendations given above. That is lovely but there are other points I need to make. In treating or staying Acne free, a big challenge is keeping your hands off your face. Touching your hand to your face transfers dirt and debris to your face and we know what dirt does to the skin.Form the habit of keeping your hands off your face.

Very importantly, in your choice of make up, choose carefully make up that does not introduce extra Oil to your skin therefore casing the pores to clog. Also do not use things like perfumes or shampoos that irritate your skin.

The outcome we want is the result of a process and a process takes time. So those seeking to get rid of Acne,it is possible but you need a bit of patience and the result you want would soon be visible.Be free to consult a dermatologist if you feel your case is serious and you should get good help.http://www.cbadv.com
