Acne Washing Face – The Pros and Cons of Washing Your Face Acne

September 5th, 2010

is basically an internal condition triggered by several underlying factors. However, there are additional external symptoms that may enhance the formation of or interfere with the healing process of your existing on the external level (e.g. the external environment). Without handling these external triggers, it will be very difficult for anyone to overcome their challenge, especially when the holistic treatment is performed while the individual still suffers from “live” and “evolving” .

Clogged or very large pores, oily or very dry complexion and bad skin hygiene do not cause acne but they interfere with the healing process of the skin and make your external acne environment more prone or “susceptible” to acne.

Taking care of your skin on a daily basis by incorporating simple and easy to follow protocols may not only enhance the healing process of your existing acne it will also balance your skin ph levels, making it smooth, even toned, radiant and healthy looking.

Although there are many types of cleansers available for different purposes (exfoliation, clean, medicate), your twice a day using a gentle antiseptic and anti-bacterial 100% natural soap like tea tree oil soap, or Cetaphil soap can help reduce inflammation, swelling and redness and significantly improve the overall appearance of your skin without the irritation, allergy reactions and over-dryness that over the counters like Benzoyl Peroxide can cause.

Washing your face should always come after a good 5 minutes steaming routine. After the steaming, follow these 3 easy steps:

1. Use lukewarm water to get the soap wet.

2. Apply the soap to your face using your fingertips in a circular motion.

3. Wash your face gently and pat your skin dry using a cotton towel.

If your sebaceous glands are producing too much oil (due to hormonal imbalance that should be fixed internally), then you probable have excessively oily skin and large pores. To tackle that problem externally, do not use alcohol and water astrigent, instead use soap like Neutrogena clear pore oil Controlling astrigent or even better apply an all natural mask made of bentonitre or egg whites.

An extremely dry skin can also be treated internally through balancing oil secretion protocols and dietary changes and supplementation, including the regular intake of 10 glasses of pure water on a daily basis. As for the external care, applying lots of good quality moisturizer such as 99% Aloe Vera gel while avoiding harsh and un-natural external care products; can significantly reduce your dryness.

Warning: Excessive washing of the face can cause mild to moderate irritations and increase redness and inflammation, defeating its own purpose.

If you have sensitive skin, the best practice is to test each product prior to using it, using dollar size amount on your chin, regardless of its quality or the nature of its ingredients.

I love this stuff. It’s the only facial cleanser that keeps my face free from blemishes on a consistent basis. Unfortunately, it’s somewhat hard for me to find it in stores. As a result, when I ran out of one bottle, I would just use a substitute facial cleanser from the drugstore or Target. I’ve tried Oil of Olay, Cetaphil, Neutrogena, etc. etc. This would result in dire consequences as I inevitably would break out for the duration of the time I was using the other cleanser (as stubborn and cheap as I am, I couldn’t bring myself just to throw the other bottle out). Thank goodness Amazon sells these guys in bulk and with the Amazon subscription, I never have to worry about finding a substitute when I’ve run out and forgotten to re-stock.

I had forgotten what a good product this is. A person could spend much more money and still not get the quality of skin care as they do from this product

I’m 62 years old and have used Phisoderm products since I was 18 years

old. I got a severe sunburn on my face when I was 17. Everything I tried on my face irritated my skin. Finally I tried the old Phisohex

product and it cleaned my skin without irritation. Later the company had to quit making phisohex and I started using the white Phisoderm. It

too worked for me. A few years ago they quit selling the white Phisoderm in my area. I tried several other products but each one burned or irritated my skin. I then tried the Phisoderm anti-blemish gel facial wash and it’s as good as the previous phisoderm products.

I have not been using this product twice-a-day like it recommends on the label, but once per day has been great to me. Previously, I used soap and I would get breakouts occasionally. Then I tried Neutrogena for Men ($7 for 4 oz!), which made me break out badly and I stopped using it after a week and went back to soap. Then I went on Amazon and read reviews about pHisoderm, which I either never saw or never paid attention to at stores. I decided to give it a try since 4 bottles cost almost as much as that one Neutrogena bottle and what a great purchase. It has not only prevented breakouts, but it is also clearing out the little white heads that were on my forehead (I have oily skin) and blemishes. It’s not a harsh product either and feels rather mild. I can see why they have been around for 40 years.

I absolutely love this face wash! I had been using AcneFree Severe Acne Treatment System which WAS working really well (see my review). However, I do not feel the AcneFree system is designed for prolonged use; I used it on a daily basis for over a year. Recently though my break-outs were horrible and my skin was over-producing oil. I tried switching makeup and then face wash (I tried Purpose and Neutrogena Oil Free), but neither of these worked. So I then switched to pHisoderm Anti-Blemish Gel Facial Wash. It honestly has worked miracles for me. I use it in conjunction with Bare Minerals makeup and my face has never looked better. My face is NEVER oily now which is a complete turn-a-round. This product can be a little drying so you may need/want to use a moisturizer (I can’t use moisturizers because they cause my skin to break out).

If you struggle with oily, acne-prone skin you may want to give this product a try. It was definitely the right move for me!

The ad for this in the UK is so annoying. They have dubbed the voice but the words are completely different so it looks like a badly dubbed martial arts film.
